Kiran focuses on delivering evidence-based and client centered treatment plans by conducting a thorough physical assessment of the client.
Her treatment approach includes using:
- Hands-on treatment methods (joint mobilizations, stretching, muscle energy techniques, and deep tissue massage),
- Therapeutic exercises
- Education
- Electrotherapeutic machines ( TENS, IFC, Ultrasound therapy)
- Biomedical Dry Needling -Shockwave therapy
Kiran did her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Kurukshetra University, India in 2005, followed by a Master of Physiotherapy (Orthopaedics) from M.M. University, India in 2009.
She worked with the Indian Army during her 6 months internship at the Research and Referral Army Hospital, Delhi Cantt.
During her more than 17 years of clinical experience, she has been directly involved in the rehabilitation of:
- Pre and post-surgical conditions,
- Various Orthopedic conditions,
- Motor vehicle accident-related injuries (ICBC claims),
- Work-related injuries (WSBC claims)
- Sports injuries
-Post Concussion and Vestibular conditions
-Pelvic floor rehab/ Urinary incontinence
She has worked in multi-specialty hospitals and different private clinics in India and Canada (Ontario, Alberta). She has participated in various workshops and conferences. Kiran has completed a “Complete Concussion Management training course for health practitioners” “Advanced Vestibular Rehab Course”, “Certification in Biomedical Dry Needling” and “Level 1 Course in Pelvic Rehab to Treat Urinary Incontinence”.
Kiran’s interests outside of physiotherapy include: - spending time with her family, - cooking, - yoga - and workouts.
